TI (Texas Instruments) has announced the establishment of a new R&D facility in Chennai, its second R&D unit in India after the one in Bangalore. Tapping into the fast-growing local wireless communications market, the Chennai facility is expected to further TI's R&D efforts in India, as it is located close to plants of TI's major customers and other research institutes. An initial workforce of 25 will working at the facility.
